The food we waste

Groundbreaking research gives new insights into the staggering amount of food we all buy, but don't eat

5.8m tonnes extra annual recycling capacity. £182m investment in the recycling sector from commercial sources. £1.3bn annual turnover for the recycling sector - nearly double it's value when WRAP was founded. Over one third of English and Scottish households are now composting at home. 24 major retailers and brands are now working with WRAP to reduce waste by 160,000 tonnes by 2008.
