Staff at recycling body 'walk the talk' with electricals recycling amnesty

Staff at Banbury-based WRAP (Waste & Resources Action Programme) were so inspired by the national electricals recycling campaign they ran this season, they launched their very own gadget ‘amnesty’, collecting around 120 broken or unwanted items colleagues had stashed at home. Almost 100 of these items were sent for recycling today (5 February) using Cherwell District Council’s brand new, bright pink recycling banks for electricals.
New WRAP funded facility adds 20,000 tonnes to domestic plastic re-processing capacity

WRAP (Waste & Resources Action Programme) is pleased to announce that WES Greenstar will add 20,000 tonnes per year of re-processing capacity for non-bottle household plastic packaging such as margarine tubs, yoghurt pots and meat trays, following the capital grant competition launched in June 2009.
