What is WRAP Scotland?
WRAP helps individuals, businesses and local authorities to reduce waste and recycle more, making better use of resources and helping to tackle climate change. Established as a not-for-profit company in 2000, WRAP is backed by government funding from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
In recent years, Scotland has made substantial progress in reducing and recycling the waste it produces. By working together, we can continue to set an example of resource efficiency on a national level.
WRAP Scotland has an important role to play in achieving this goal; working with partners and the public across the whole resource efficiency loop to make reducing waste and recycling even easier and more effective.
In our first Business Plan for Scotland, we set out the key actions WRAP will take and the targets we will deliver against to minimise landfill, reduce carbon emissions and improve our environment – and our economy – over the next three years.
